Ingredients

  • 2 x Squirrels cut serving pcs
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 3 c. Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1/3 c. Sliced onion
  • 1/2 c. Diced celery
  • 1 c. Carrot sticks
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour - (to 3 tbspns) Prepared dumpling dough

Directions

  1. Brown meat in butter. Cover with water, season, and simmer for 1 hour. Add in onion, celery, and carrot, and more water if needed, and cook for 15 min. Thicken with flour dissolved in 1/4 c. water. Drop in dumpling dough, cover, and steam for 12 to 15 min.
  2. This recipe yields 4 servings.
