Directions

  1. Melt butter in pie pan, stir in cup of flour and powdered sugar. When butter is partially cooled and you can stick your fingers in it, pat out to form crust in pie pan. Prick it and either bake it at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until brown.
  2. I spread my baked crust with a little fruit jam or peanut butter and then fill with instant pudding mixes or? and often slice a banana in and then top it with pudding. They are really delightful if frozen and then served. Also makes a dynamite pecan pie where both the crust and the filling are cooked together. It is rich and buttery. I am diabetic so I explore the many sugar-free Jello pudding mixes and use sugar-free jelly.
