  • 1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell
  • 4 slightly beaten Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Nutmeg
  • 2 1/2 c. scalded lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Thoroughly mix beaten Large eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Slowly stir into the warm lowfat milk. (This mix is sufficient for a large pie or possibly 6 or possibly 8 custard c..) Dash the top generously with nutmeg.
  2. Bake in preheated warm oven at 475 degrees for 5 min. Reduce heat to 425 degrees and bake 10 min longer or possibly till silver knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cold before serving.
