Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce.) loaf cinnamon raisin bread
- 1 quart. lowfat milk
- 3 Large eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp. butter
Directions
- Grease a 9x13 glass baking dish. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Tear bread into 2 inch pcs. Place in a large bowl and pour in the lowfat milk. Toss gently till bread is coated. Put aside for 15 min.
- In a small bowl beat Large eggs and sugar till it's light, thick, and smooth. Add in vanilla. Pour egg and sugar mix over lowfat milk-soaked bread. Mix gently and thoroughly till bread is proportionately coated.
- Place in baking dish. Set dish in a warm water bath (a pan with 1 or possibly 2 inches or possibly warm water). Bake, uncovered, for 50-60 min or possibly till a knife which is inserted near the middle comes out clean. Serve hot with fresh whipped cream.
