Ingredients
- 6 med. turnips
- 3 tbsp. butter (divided)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 5 tbsp. water
- 3 med. onions
- Few sprigs parsley
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- Anise seed, optional
Directions
- Peel turnips and cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Cook in 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter, salt, sugar and water, 10-15 min, till almost done, covered.
- Chop onions and parsley; add in lemon juice and 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter; cook in separate skillet till onions are transparent. Mix all together and serve at once. Sprinkle with anise seed, optional.
