Ingredients
- 1 lg. turnip
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 apples
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 healthy pinch of cinnamon
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. butter
Directions
- Peel, dice, cook, drain and mash the turnip with butter. Peel and slice apples. Toss with brown sugar (1/4 c.) and cinnamon. Arrange, in greased casserole, turnips and apples, in alternate layers beginning and ending with turnips. Combine crust ingredients to a crumbly texture and pat on top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
