Directions

  1. Add in seasoning meat to cool water and boil 45 min. Add in greens and boil 1 hour. Drain liquid from greens. Chop and place on platter. Keep hot. 1/2 c. flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 sm. finely minced onion 2 tbsp. melted butter
  2. Mix together cornmeal, flour, salt, onion and butter. Add in sufficient warm turnip pot liquor to create dough. Shape into hush puppy size balls and drop into boiling liquor. Reduce heat and cook in tightly covered pot 20 to 25 min. Arrange corn dogs around the green, pour the remaining liquid over green and dogs.
