Ingredients

  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 (7 ounce) cans tuna
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. minced parsley
  • 1 1/2 spoons celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 c. flour (self-rising or possibly biscuit flour)
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Heat oven at 350 degrees. Reserve 2 tbsp of the egg; set aside. Mix remaining egg, tuna (liquid removed), onion, cheese, parsley, celery salt, and pepper. Prepare biscuit dough. Roll dough into rectangle, 15 x 10 inch. Spread tuna mix. Roll up beginning at wide side. Place, seam side down, in ring on greased baking sheet. Pinch ends together. With scissors, make cuts 2/3 of the way through ring at 1 inch intervals. Brush with reserved egg. Bake 25 to 30 min. Serve with cheese sauce.
