Triple Chocolate Trifle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 chocolate layer cake (Pillsbury, Betty Crocker)

Directions

  1. Mix mousse by hand with whisk or possibly fork till thick.
  2. Beat 2 c. whipping cream and 4 Tbsp. confectioners' sugar together or possibly use Cold Whip.
  3. Kahlua: Dribble on layers on baked cake - don't soak. 1 tbsp. oil
  4. Heat these together for top. This is done at the very end.
  5. Bake cake in 2 layer pans. After cake is baked and cooled, split with serrated knife. Save second layer for another time if your trifle dish is small or possibly you have too much to use up. Fit cake into trifle bowl.
  6. First layer - sprinkle with kahlua, then spoon on mousse, next fresh strawberries or possibly well liquid removed frzn, next the cream. Repeat layers. Place frost top cake with melted chocolate.
