Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. sweet butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 egg beaters (same as 2 Large eggs) slightly beaten
- 3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Directions
- Heat 2 Tbsp. butter over low heat. Blend in flour and cook, stirring constantly, till mix is smooth. Remove from heat. Add in lowfat milk and mix. Return to heat; bring to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Cook till thickened. Remove from heat; beat in pepper and 2 egg yolks (beaters). Gradually beat in melted butter and lemon juice. Serve at once. For sodium restricted diets.
