  • 2 x Large eggs beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. Oil
  • 1 1/2 c. Flour, all-purpose or possibly more
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 c. Honey
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd ginger
  • 1 c. Nut pcs
  • 1/2 c. Marashino cherries

Directions

  1. Make a dough by mixing the Large eggs with the oil and beat. then fold in the flour, salt and baking pwdr. Fold in sufficient flour to make a soft but not sticky dough, which can be handled. Knead on floured surface till smooth.
  2. Roll it out to create a rope, about 1/2" thick. Then cut with a sharpe knife 1/2" pcs. These can be baked in the oven on a greased baking sheet at 350 till dough just starts to puff and get a slight brown. In the mean time: GLAZE Heat to just boiling the honey, sugar, and ginger.
  3. After the dough balls start to puff pour on the honey mix, Toss and shake the pan to coat all very well. When dough balls are golden brown, remove to a bowl and add in the nuts and cherries and then pour out onto a greased plate. Mound it high, and let cold and harden a bit. Store airtight till time to use. Enjoy!
