Sweet Doughnut Recipe

• 1/4 c. lard or possibly shortening
• 3/4 c. sugar
• 2 x Large eggs
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 pkt yeast, dissolved in
• 1 c. hot water
• 6 c. flour, (6 to 7)
• 1 c. mashed potatoes
• 1/3 c. warm water
• 2 Tbsp. Karo syrup
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar, (2 1/2 to 2 1/4)
