Stuffed Dates (Rangeenak) Recipe

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250F.
  2. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry fry pan till nicely browned.
  3. Cut open one side of the dates and stuff each with a walnut half.
  4. Place half of the stuffed dates in small baking dish, dust with sesame seeds, cinnamon and icing sugar and top with another, smaller layer of stuffed dates and repeat dusting.
  5. Repeat with smaller layers (so you have a bit of a pyramid) till all the stuffed dates have been used up.
  6. Place in the oven for 3-5 min, till just softened.
  7. Serve hot or possibly cool.
