%20which%20was%20really%20chilly%20for%20those%20of%20us%20used%20to%20the%20milder%20climates%20of%20coastal%20Morocco!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20other%20thing%20here%20at%20the%20moment%20is%20strawberries,%20I%20am%20never%20sure%20when%20strawberry%20season%20is%20here%20as%20each%20year%20it%20seems%20to%20vary%20greatly.%20Last%20year%20I%20bought%20crates%20of%20them%20in%20the%20spring,%20but%20this%20year%20they%20have%20been%20cropping%20up%20in%20the%20markets%20since%20November.%20We%20had%20a%20very%20mild%20autumn%20and%20start%20to%20winter%20which%20may%20be%20why%20and%20I%20know%20they%20grow%20them%20in%20tunnels%20along%20the%20coast.%20But%20I%20have%20learnt%20in%20the%20close%20to%20two%20years%20we%20have%20been%20living%20here,%20that%20things%20in%20Morocco%20are%20not%20always%20as%20they%20should%20be!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyway,%20I%20had%20bought%20a%20whole%20lot%20last%20week%20and%20decided%20to%20make%20some%20quick%20and%20easy%20little%20strawberry%20and%20vanilla%20panna%20cotta%20for%20the%20kids.%20Really%20easy%20to%20make%20and%20really%20tasty%20with%20not%20too%20much%20added%20sugar!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrepare%20the%20strawberries%20and%20process%20in%20a%20blender%20till%20smooth.%20Strain%20through%20a%20sieve%20and%20set%20aside%20the%20strained%20puree.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESlice%20the%20vanilla%20pod%20open%20and%20scrape%20the%20seeds%20into%20the%20milk.%20Heat%20the%20cream,%20milk,%20sugar%20and%20vanilla%20in%20a%20saucepan%20and%20simmer%20for%20about%205%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGently%20heat%20the%20gelatine,%20stirring%20continuously%20until%20dissolved.%20Add%20the%20strawberries%20to%20the%20milk%20and%20cream%20mixture,%20blending%20in%20with%20a%20whisk%20and%20then%20add%20the%20gelatine%20and%20whisk%20until%20it%20is%20all%20blended%20together.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20into%20individual%20ramekins%20or%20pots%20and%20chill%20in%20the%20refrigerator%20for%20a%20minimum%20of%204%20hours.%20If%20you%20want%20to%20turn%20them%20out%20to%20serve,%20dip%20the%20ramekins%20in%20some%20warm%20water%20for%20a%20few%20seconds%20and%20turn%20out%20onto%20plates.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20made%20the%20equivalent%20of%207%20x%20125ml%20ramekins.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETags:%20ifrane,%20mint%20tea%20and%20tagine,%20Moroccan%20Food,%20snow,%20strawberries,%20strawberry%20panna%20cotta%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
