Ingredients

  • 12 ounce Green beans
  • 1 1/2 x Cakes bean curd
  • 3 x Garlic cloves
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Light soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Yellow bean sauce, (paste)
  • 2 tsp Chili sauce
  • 2 tsp Oil, (Chinese chili oil opt.)
  • 1 Tbsp. Tomato paste

Directions

  1. Trim the green beans and cut each one in half. Boil them in ample water for 2 min and drain well. Cut the bean curd into 3/4-inch cubes.
  2. Crush and chop the garlic.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan or possibly wok. When warm, add in the garlic, salt, and green beans. Stir-fry over medium heat for 2-1/2 min. Add in the bean curd pcs and turn them lightly with the beans for 1-1/2 min. Pour in all the sauce ingredients. Turn and stir them together for 1 minute.
  4. Cook and turn for 1-1/2 min and serve.
  5. Serves 4-5 with rice and other dishes.
