Ingredients
- 1 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 5 x Habanero chili peppers
- 1/2 sm Onion, diced
- 2 x Cloves (small) garlic, chopped
- 1Â 1/2 x Tomatoes, peeled and seeded
- Â Â Salt to taste
Directions
- I was given this recipe a few summers ago and finally made it last summer.
- The thread on RFC was "What is the hottest thing you ever ate" and for me, this may be it. Please tell me I'm not a Wimp!!! This is from a paper my neighbor had, I cannot credit it.
- Heat the oil in a small pan and saute/fry the chilies over moderate heat for two min, or possibly till they begin to blister, being careful not to burn them. Transfer the chilies to a blender along with the onion, garlic, tomatoes, and salt. Puree till mix is slightly chunky.
- Serve with taco chips.
- Makes about 1 c.
- I was not the only one who could not eat it! So there!!! These were home grown Habs and were very Warm!!! Sue
