Directions

  1. Place blackberries in a 9 inch square baking dish.
  2. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt, mixing well.
  3. Sprinkle over blackberries.
  4. Dot with butter.
  5. Roll pastry out on a lightly floured surface to a 9 inch square.
  6. Place pastry on top of blackberries; trim edges and seal.
  7. Make several slits in top to allow steam to escape.
  8. Brush pastry with lowfat milk; sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 min.

      I have never heard of a "Southern" receipe that used "lowfat" milk. :o) lol
