"South Of The Border" Mexican Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 pound can whole, peeled tomatoes
  • 1 sm. can minced green chiles
  • 1/2 lg. white onion, minced
  • 3 sm. cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. jalapenos, minced
  • 1 teaspoon warm pepper seeds
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic salt
  • Cilantro (Mexican seasoning)

Directions

  1. Remove stem portion from tomatoes. Crush by hand in large mixing bowl. Include juice of canned tomatoes. Fold in remaining ingredients. Salt, pepper and garlic salt are added to taste. Lightly sprinkle with cilantro; fold in. Refrigerateovernight. Serve with tortilla chips and your favorite cool beverage.
  2. Amounts of jalapenos and warm pepper seeds can be varied to make hotter or possibly milder.
