  • 1 c. sourdough starter
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. water or possibly lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Mix this the night before in a glass bowl.
  2. Next morning: 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar 1/2 c. melted butter 1/4 c. dry powdered lowfat milk (don't mix with water) 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in 2 teaspoon water
  3. Night before: Mix starter, flour and lowfat milk
  4. Next morning: Take out 1 c. starter. Store in a jar (covered) in the refrigerator.
  5. To the remaining starter add in egg yolks, dry powdered lowfat milk and melted butter. Stir. In separate bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar till stiff. Add in dissolved soda to starter mix and stir. Then mix in egg whites. Cook in waffle iron about 3 min.
