Ingredients

  • 3 c. sourdough starter
  • 2 c. very hot water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tbsp. salt

Directions

  1. Mix starter, water and flour. Let stand till bubbly and double in bulk. Add in salt and about 4 to 5 c. flour or possibly sufficient to make a stiff dough. Form into two long loaves. Place on greased cookie sheet. Brush with 1 egg white whipped with 1 Tbsp. water. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like. Let rise till double in bulk. Brush with egg white mix again. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min or possibly till golden.
