Ingredients
- 1/2 c. starter
- 1 c. undiluted evaporated lowfat milk
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. butter
- 1 1/4 c. dark brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt and soda
- 3 c. corn flakes, crushed
- 3/4 c. minced walnuts
- 3/4 c. shredded coconut (optional)
Directions
- Stir starter, lowfat milk, and 1 1/2 c. flour together in a large bowl; set aside for 2 hrs. Meanwhile, cream butter with sugar; blend in egg and a mix of 1/2 c. flour, salt, and soda. Stir in corn flakes, walnuts, and coconut (if used). Blend both mixtures together.
