Sour Cream Chocolate Drops Recipe

Ingredients

  •     To save cleanup time, mix the ingredients in the same saucepan you used to
  •     heat the butter and chocolate.
  • 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. butter (1 stick, no substitutes)
  • 3 ounce unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
  • 3/4 c. minced pecans
  •     Chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, stir together flour, baking pwdr, baking soda, cinnamon and salt to combine thoroughly; set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a heavy, 2-qt saucepan, combine butter and chocolate. Place over low heat till both are melted, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove chocolate mix from heat; stir in granulated and brown sugars. Add in egg and vanilla; beat well. Add in flour mix alternately with lowfat sour cream, mixing till smooth after each addition. Stir in pecans.
  4. Drop by Tbsp., about 1 1/2 inches apart, onto lightly greased or possibly nonstick or possibly parchment-lined baking sheets. Decorate with chocolate sprinkles, if you like. Bake till cookies feel hard when touched lightly (12 to 14 min).
  5. Cold on wire racks.
