Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. of cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoon onion juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tbsp. sherry (optional)
  • 2 (4 ounce.) jars smoked oysters, minced
  • Finely chopped chives or possibly black olives

Directions

  1. Bring cheese to room temperature; mix with mayonnaise, onion juice, paprika and sherry; whip till fluffy. Mix in finely minced smoked oysters and chives and/or possibly black olives. Serve with crisp dip crackers.
  2. REMARKS: This has been a favorite dip for many years. It is always requested, and this recipe has been passed on to so many people. If "onion juice" can't be found, I have found it just as good to use very finely minced onions. Remember to DOUBLE this recipe...one recipe is never sufficient.
