Ingredients

  • 2 dozen oysters, liquid removed
  • 2 c. cooked shrimp
  • 1 c. cooked crabmeat
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tbsp. real butter
  • 1 c. okra, minced
  • 3 stalks celery, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 quarts. warm water
  • 3 tomatoes, minced
  • 6 drops Tabasco sauce or possibly to taste

Directions

  1. Heat butter in skillet. Add in flour, brown (don't burn). Add in okra.
  2. Immediately place in large pot with 2 qts warm water. Add in celery, bay leaves, thyme, tomatoes, and Tabasco. Simmer for 2 hrs.
  3. Add in oysters and boil 10 min. Add in shrimp and crabmeat and boil till warm. Serve on rice. Makes 1/2 gallon.
