Sizzling Citrus Prawns Recipe

A light, healthy way to enjoy prawns. A great summer dish. You can barbecue,grill or just cook them on plain stove top too.It tastes good anyway.

  • 675g (1 1/2 lb) king prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 oranges, zested and juiced
  • 3 limes, zested and juiced
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic,crushed fairly smooth


  1. Marinate the prawns with orange juice,lime juice,sugar,salt,garlic and oil.
  2. Place the prawns on a skewer and barbecue them.
  3. Heat a large,wide non stick fry pan on medium prawns on skewers and cook them thro' till done
  4. Grill them in an oven till done.
  5. Serve them with a glass of wine on the side.....or for kids serve with a glass of fruit juice.
