As a variation, add 1/2 cup finely chopped squash in Step 3 and adjust salt to taste.
    I've cooked/tasted this recipe!
    This is a variation

I love the idea of adding squash. I have butternut squash right now. I don't have green chili. Can I skip it? What could I substitute to keep it flavorful? I'm cooking for kids, so not too spicy!

Very easy to make and very satisfying. Full of color and multidimensional in flavor.
