I made this tasty dish tonight for my girlfriend’s birthday.  This dish is so simple yet packed with so many wonderful flavors.  Serve over pasta with a piece of garlic bread on the side. Shrimp in Garlic Butter Pomodoro Sauce Print Recipe Servings Prep Time 4 10 minutes Cook Time 20 minutes Servings Prep Time 4 10 minutes Cook Time 20 minutes Shrimp in Garlic Butter Pomodoro Sauce Print Recipe Servings Prep Time 4 10 minutes Cook Time 20 minutes Servings Prep Time 4 10 minutes Cook Time 20 minutes Ingredients 1 lb. large shrimp peeled & deveined salt black pepper olive oil 8 oz. angel hair pasta Parmesan cheese for topping Sauce: 4 cloves garlic minced 4 cups fresh tomatoes diced 2 cups chicken broth 4 tbs butter 1/2 cup fresh basil cut or torn into small pieces salt black pepper crushed red pepper flakes Servings: Instructions Heat a little of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until pink, about 2 minutes on each side. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, add a little oil over medium low heat and add the garlic in. Saute for a minute or two until it becomes fragrant but not burnt. Add the tomatoes and broth and simmer for 10-12 minutes. The sauce will start to become thick. Meanwhile cook according to package directions. Drain and set aside. Once the sauce has thickened, add the butter and basil and stir to combine. Season to taste with salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Once the sauce is ready, add the shrimp back in to warm.
