Ingredients

  • 1 lb Cleaned raw shrimp
  • 1/4 lb Grnd pork
  • 1 Tbsp. Dry sherry
  • 4 Tbsp. Oil
  • 4 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 2 slc Ginger root -or possibly-
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Msg
  • 1 x Egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Cooked black beans (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix shrimp with 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch and sherry. Set aside. Mix remaining cornstarch in 1/4 c. cool water. In skillet, cook shrimp in oil, stirring constantly, for 2 min. Remove. Add in ginger, garlic and beans to oil; stir. Add in pork, salt, soy sauce, MSG, sugar and 1 c. water. Bring to boil and simmer 2 min. Add in shrimp and egg; stir well. Serve warm over rice.
