I first reviewed Shake Shack in August 2011, and I've got good news and good news. First, the good news is that Shake Shack is still open every year during the warmer months. Second, the good news is that the service, food, ice cream products and 1950s atmosphere is still going strong.

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMonticello,%20Utah,%2084535%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPhone:%20(435)%20587-2966%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFacebook%20Page:%20https://www.facebook.com/frosteezshakeshack%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHours%20of%20Operation:%20Tuesday%20-%20Saturday;%2012pm%20to%209pm%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20first%20reviewed%20Shake%20Shack%20in%20August%202011,%20and%20I've%20got%20good%20news%20and%20good%20news.%20%20First,%20the%20good%20news%20is%20that%20Shake%20Shack%20is%20still%20open%20every%20year%20during%20the%20warmer%20months.%20%20Second,%20the%20good%20news%20is%20that%20the%20service,%20food,%20ice%20cream%20products%20and%201950s%20atmosphere%20is%20still%20going%20strong.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20the%20sale%20of%20the%20%E2%80%9CBailey%20and%20Wood%20Market%E2%80%9D,%20Ralph%20Arthur%20Bailey%20needed%20a%20new%20venture.%20In%201954,%20the%20Dairy%20Queen%20Company%20was%20offering%20franchises%20throughout%20the%20United%20States.%20With%20his%20experience%20with%20freezers%20and%20food%20sales,%20Ralph%20decided%20bringing%20ice%20cream%20to%20Monticello%20would%20be%20a%20great%20idea,%20and%20he%20was%20correct.%20Monticello%E2%80%99s%20Dairy%20Queen%20(original%20address%20612%20North%20Main%20Street)%20opened%20that%20year;%20a%20simple%20walk%20up%20to%20the%20window%20store%20that%20offered%20up%20soft%20serve%20cones%20or%20in%20cups,%20and%20other%20frozen%20treats.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%201972,%20Ralph%20passed%20on;%20the%20store%20was%20purchased%20by%20Jan%20and%20Grayson%20Redd;%201975%20the%20interior%20dining%20room%20was%20added%20to%20the%20building.%20Their%20relationship%20with%20Dairy%20Queen%20ended%20in%201987;%20Shake%20Shack%20was%20born,%20but%20here%E2%80%99s%20a%20nifty%20piece%20of%20history%20for%20you%E2%80%A6they%20are%20still%20using%20the%20original%20ice%20cream%20maker%20from%201954!%20The%20ice%20cream%20and%20dining%20menus%20built%20up%20over%20the%20years,%20and%20it%20was%20in%202007%20that%20the%20Redds%20decided%20it%20was%20time%20to%20go%20on%20a%20diet.%20The%20parents%20of%20Teresa%20Brooks%20purchased%20the%20Shack,%20but%20quickly%20sold%20it%20off%20to%20their%20daughter%20and%20she%20is%20still%20running%20it%20today%E2%80%A6thank%20you%20Teresa!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Shake%20Shack%20is%20reminiscent%20of%20those%2050s%20style%20diners%20where%20you%20can%20still%20get%20a%20burger,%20fries,%20with%20a%20drink%20or%20shake,%20and%20not%20leave%20your%20wallet%20empty.%20It's%20the%20type%20of%20place%20where%20you%20can%20sit%20down%20with%20friends%20and/or%20family,%20enjoy%20a%20good%20meal%20or%20just%20dessert;%20not%20feel%20rushed%20out%20or%20unwelcome.%20The%20menu%20is%20not%20huge%20in%20variety%20which%20is%20fine%20as%20it%20gives%20Teresa,%20and%20her%20friendly%20staff,%20the%20benefit%20of%20getting%20orders%20done%20up%20quickly%20and%20correctly.%20Another%20important%20point,%20the%20beef%20for%20burgers,%20potatoes%20for%20fries,%20and%20ice%20cream%20ingredients%20are%20locally%20sourced%20through%20Blue%20Mountain%20Meats.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnough%20history,%20let%E2%80%99s%20get%20to%20the%20good%20stuff;%20the%20food%20and%20desserts!%20All%20food%20is%20cooked%20to%20order,%20not%20premade%20and%20sitting%20under%20a%20heat%20lamp;%20burgers%20are%20juicy%20half%20pounders%20with%20a%20variety%20of%20toppings%20offered,%20even%20an%20old%20fashioned%20patty%20melt.%20Chicken%20sandwiches,%20grilled%20sandwiches,%20hot%20dogs,%20French%20or%20curly%20fries,%20and%20the%20yummiest%20onion%20rings.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMushroom%20Melt,%20Patty%20Melt,%20Onion%20Rings,%20French%20FriesInside%20the%20Patty%20Melt%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20you%20already%20know%20that%20the%20soft%20serve%20is%20still%20made%20with%20the%20original%20Dairy%20Queen%20machine%20from%201954.%20But%20did%20you%20know%20that%20the%20shakes%20are%20thick,%20hand%20mixed%20and%E2%80%A6wait%20for%20it%E2%80%A6above%20the%20rim!?!%20Dairy%20Queen%E2%80%99s%20Blizzards%20may%20have%20started%20the%20trend,%20but%20Shake%20Shack%20has%20perfected%20it%20with%20real%20pieces%20of%20fruit,%20and%20cake,%20yes,%20cake!%20Take,%20for%20example,%20the%20raspberry%20cheesecake%20shake;%20real%20chopped%20up%20raspberries%20and%20cheesecake%20pieces%E2%80%A6cheesecake!!!%20Not%20in%20the%20mood%20for%20a%20shake,%20how%20about%20a%20whopping%20banana%20split,%20sundae,%20float%20or%20freezer?%20Soft%20serve%20or%20hard%20served,%20the%20ice%20cream%20is%20awesomely%20great%20in%20a%20cone%20or%20dish.%20You%20so%20want%20to%20try%20out%20the%20newest%20item%20on%20the%20menu,%20homemade%20waffle%20cones;%20crunchy%20goodness!%20Teresa%20loves%20to%20play%20inventor%20and%20come%20up%20with%20winning%20combinations%20for%20our%20taste%20buds.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReal%20Cheesecake%20pieces%20folded%20into%20the%20shake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBuilt%20on%20ice%20cream%20royalty,%20Dairy%20Queen;%20Shake%20Shack%20is%20proving%20to%20locals%20and%20visitors%20alike%20that%20a%20brand%20name%20can%20be%20outdone%20when%20you%20love%20and%20enjoy%2
