Sea Salted Watermelon Tonic Recipe

Recent research has shown adding a small amount of salt to tonic water actually reduces the bitterness of the quinine on the palate. With this in mind i created this 'little number'. A perfect introduction to the classic Gin and Tonic. Note:- Only add the smallest pinch of salt to the watermelon.

Ingredients

  • 1.5oz Bombay Sapphire
  • 2 finger sized slices of watermelon (pre-salted Approx 1hour before)
  • ice
  • Tonic water

Directions

  1. muddle the watermelon into the bottom of the Collins glass.
  2. add Bombay Sapphire, pack with ice and stir well!!!
  3. Charge with good quality Tonic water.
  4. Serve and enjoy responsibly!!!
