Savory Shaved Steak Recipe

This can be served on a freshly baked roll, or on a salad. I just don't advise a wrap, it's a little too messy.

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet onion, halved and sliced
  • 3/4 lb. shaved steak
  • 1 bottle IPA or lager style beer, room temperature
  • 2 tsp Grill Mates Montreal Steak seasoning or 1 tsp Penzey's Oazark spice blend
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar or 1/3c shredded parmesan cheese.

Directions

  1. Cook the steak and onions in a dry non-stick skillet over medium heat, until steak is cooked.
  2. Add beer and spice blend to the pan
  3. Simmer steak and onions until beer is reduced to almost gone.
  4. Reduce heat to Low, add cheese and cover for 3 minutes.
