Sauteed String Beans

As I have said, this recipe is quite simple and requires just a few ingredients. Have your ingredients prepared, i.e. make sure the onion is thinly sliced, the ends of the string beans are removed, and the parsley chopped. When cooking keep the ingredients close at hand. If you are frying fish you can do the same with the ingredients for the fish but more on the fish in an up coming post. I’m actually wondering if I should post it because it is a no brainer really. But it has a twist that everyone may like.

Note: This meal will serve 3 persons.

As I have said, prepare your ingredients in advance.

Thinly slice the onions and chop the parsley. Set aside.

Heat oil in a deep pot…

Add the onion. Cook until translucent.

Add the chopped parsley. Stir.

Add the beans.

Stir to coat the bean with the oil.

Add the 2 tablespoon of water, salt and pepper to taste and cover to steam for 2 to 3 minutes.

Remove the pot from the fire and leave covered.

This method ensures that the beans are not overcooked, maintains its beautiful green colour and draws in the flavour of the other ingredients.

Here is a another picture of the meal. Feel free to pin away

Well, what can I say…You just have to taste it. Hope you enjoyed my sauteed string beans.
