Directions

  1. In a large fry pan or possibly Dutch oven, heat one stick of butter. Add in apple slices and cook over low heat, stirring frequently. Cook till apples are tender-crisp (5-10 min). Add in sweet potato chunks and mix well. Heat through. Remove to covered casserole and keep hot, placing a towel over casserole while you make syrup.
  2. In same fry pan, heat one stick of butter; add in cinnamon. Mix well. Add in brown sugar and orange juice; mix well. Return apple-sweet potatoes to pan and heat till piping warm, stirring constantly. Serve piping warm. (A simple delicious side dish, with less than 10 min cooking time on low heat.)
