Ingredients

  • Pastry for 9-inch quiche pan or possibly pie pan
  • 1 pound warm pork sausage
  • 1 (4 ounce.) can mushrooms, sliced and liquid removed
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1/4 c. minced green pepper
  • 1/4 c. minced red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 Large eggs
  • Paprika

Directions

  1. Cook sausage, drain; combine sausage with next 7 ingredients, mixing well. Spoon into pie shell, top with cheese. Combine lowfat milk and Large eggs, beat till foamy. Pour over cheese, sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 min till cheese melts and quiche sets.
