Ingredients

  • 1 (10 to 12 ounce.) pkg. corn bread mix
  • 1 pound sausage meat
  • 4 c. celery, minced
  • 3 c. onion, minced
  • 1 c. green pepper
  • 1/4 c. parsley, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon rubbed savory
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dry sage leaves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dry thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 3 Large eggs, slightly beaten

Directions

  1. Prepare corn bread as directed on package. In a skillet, saute/fry sausage till brown. Add in celery, onion, green pepper, and parsley. Saute/fry 8 to 10 min. Crumble cooled corn bread in to a large bowl. Add in sausage mix, savory, sage, thyme, salt and pepper. Gradually add in chicken broth and Large eggs, tossing lightly with a fork. Makes about 10 c..
