Ingredients

  • 1 c. lentils (soak lentils in water overnight)
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 med. onions, minced
  • 2 med. garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 (8 ounce.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp. minced parsley
  • 1 to 1 1/2 pound kalabasa sausage, minced

Directions

  1. After soaking lentils overnight, combine with remaining ingredients. Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs at least. Can be frzn.
