Directions

  1. Call bakery and order loaf of bread to be cut lengthwise. Trim crust. Spread slices with soft butter. Use sandwich spread of your choice or possibly several ones and spread slices to edge. Repeat till they are 3 or possibly 4 fillings. Cover last layer with bread, buttered side down. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil and refrigerateseveral hrs. Frost with softened cream cheese. Garnish with minced hard-cooked egg yolks. (I make a flower using celery as stem, bell pepper as leaves and sliced boiled egg as the flowers.) Spreads to follow:
