I have a friend that has managed to organize an annual get together the weekend before Christmas for the past 30 something years. If it wasn’t for Laura, I am afraid this tradition would never happen.

I have been friends with Laura, Agnes, Joanne and Chris since I was about 14. The annual event has morphed over the years. It started out with just us single girls. Then we started inviting our boyfriends. Then husbands. From there we started bringing our kids. But now, it’s back to us girls.

At today’s lunch, I ordered a Salted Caramel Martini as my dessert of choice. And I gotta tell you. I fell in love with it. I love it so much that on the way home I stopped at the store to pick up the ingredients to make one.

I modified mine by omitting the vodka and using coffee instead, but I still loved it. It was divine.

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas and thanks for stopping by.
