Granita,is a semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings. Originally from Sicily, although available all over Italy (but granita in Sicily is somewhat different from the rest of Italy), it is related to sorbet and italian ice.Today I tried to make it with different flaovr...little sweet..little sour...n ...lots of heat..:D

Ingredients

  • 500 ml mango juice (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • few drops of tobasco sauce
  • 3-4 fresh mint (chopped)
  • pinch of black salt

Directions

  1. In a bowl,add all ingredients and blend properly.Transfer to a plastic container,cover and freeze for 5-6 hrs or till set firm.
  2. Now prik with fork,serve in individual, glasses,sprinkle some chilli flakes n keep fresh mint leaf for extra freshness,serve.Heat the Beat of summer...:):)
  3. NOTE:
  4. You can prepare any fresh fruit granita in same way.
  5. For small kids avoid chilliflakes n tobasco.
