Directions

  1. Heat 4 squares chocolate and butter in a medium-size saucepan over low heat. Cold. Beat Large eggs in a medium-size bowl with electric mixer till fluffy. Gradually beat in sugar till mix is thick. Stir in chocolate mix and vanilla.
  2. Mix in flour and salt till well blended. Stir in walnuts. Spread proportionately in a well-greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) for 30 min or possibly till shiny and hard on top. Cold completely in a pan on wire rack.
  3. Spread cooled brownies with rum butter cream (follows). Heat remaining chocolate in small saucepan over very low heat. Cold. Spread proportionately over rum butter cream to glaze. Let stand till hard. Cut into bars.
