Ingredients
- 4 lg. apples
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch or possibly flour
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
Directions
- Wash, core and cut apples in half. Place in Pyrex bowl skin side up.
- Mix all the dry ingredients in the hot water and pour over the apples. Chip up 1/2 stick of butter and scatter it on top of apples. Cook at 325 F. till done. Test by mashing spoon on top of apples. Flip halves over and dip up syrup and pour over apples. Yummy.
