Red's Ultimate "M And M's" Cookies Recipe

• 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or possibly margarine, softened
• 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
• 1/2 c. Firmly packed light brown sugar
• 1 lrg Egg
• 1 tsp Vanilla extract
• 2 c. All-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp Baking soda
• 1/8 tsp Salt 1
• 12 ounce m&m's" chocolate mini baking bits
• 3/4 c. Minced nuts, (optional)
