Recipe Betty Crocker Thumbprint Cookies Recipe
by Flour On My Face

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to host a Betty Crocker Cookie Mix House Party.

What is a Betty Crocker Cookie Mix House Party you ask? Well House Party is a website where you have a chance to receive free products from various companies. You apply to be a host when a new “party” is listed and fill out an application. A limited number of hosts are picked and your receive a box full of products to use during your party. What is the catch you ask? You agree to photograph or video tape your party and post it on the internet at the House Party site and anywhere else you’d be inclined to share your photo’s.

This particular party was for the Betty Crocker Cookie Mix. A product I have used in the past and enjoyed very much. Even though I bake from scratch regularly the cookie dough mix is yummy and so easy to use.

As I was looking through the photographs I took during my party I was dismayed to see that I did not photograph my cookies after they were baked. So go check out the picture on the Betty Crocker website. The cookies were delicious and very pretty with the swirls of white chocolate drizzled over the top.

Below is the recipe as posted on the Betty Crocker website. Enjoy and let me know if you try them and if you agree with me that they are one of the easiest and yummiest cookies you have ever made.

1. Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, egg and flour until dough forms.

2. Roll dough into 3/4-inch balls; place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Using thumb or handle of wooden spoon, make indentation in center of each cookie. Spoon about 1/4 teaspoon jam into each indentation.

3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.

4. In small microwavable bowl, microwave baking chips on High 1 to 2 minutes or until chips are melted; stir until smooth. Spoon melted chips into small resealable plastic bag; cut small hole in corner of bag. Squeeze bag gently to drizzle melted chips over cookies. Sprinkle with colored sugar.

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Decrease butter to 1/3 cup. Increase flour to 1/4 cup.
