Ingredients
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. bread flour
- 1 tsp white sugar
- 1Â 1/2 tsp yeast
- 1/4 c. hot buttermilk
- 1 tsp vinegar - any kind
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil or possibly margarine
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 c. bread flour
- Â Â (can use mix of rye, or possibly wheat)
- 1Â 1/2 tsp yeast
Directions
- Stir STARTER ingredients together in order given. Cover with plastic and set in hot location for 6 to 8 hrs, overnight is best.
- Place starter in bread pan, and add in remaining ingredients in the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer. Process on appropriate cycle and light crust setting!
- This recipe yields a 2 lb. loaf.
- Yield: 1 loaf
