Ingredients
- 1 c. Cooked prunes
- 1/3 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. Molasses
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- 2 x Large eggs, well beaten
- 1Â 1/4 c. Cake flour
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Directions
- Drain prunes. Remove pits. Cut prunes into pcs. Cream shortening and sugar. Add in molasses and Large eggs. Beat thoroughly. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add in to first mix. Beat thoroughly. Add in prunes and flavoring. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-oiled baking sheet. Bake in warm oven (400 F) about 12 min. 15 servings.
