- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons Guittard Cocoa Rouge (Dutch-processed unsweetened cocoa powder)
- 2 ripe medium bananas, mashed
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup toasted walnuts, chopped (see Note)
- 1 to 3 tablespoons cacao nibs
