Praline Pecan Brownies

My biggest weakness is Brownies~ I have never meet a Brownie I didn't like:) Brownies are my Favorite~

A few months back, I saw a recipe over at Michelle's wonderful blog, Ms.enPlace, that used Praline Pecan Liqueur. Yum! The name, Praline Pecan Liqueur, immediately caught my attention! I am not a big drinker, but I do like to bake with Liqueurs and I do use Wine in my cooking. I think adding a Liqueur to a dessert recipe can take it from ordinary to speculator and adding Wine to a sauce or dish, gives it that added flavor boost and gives it a rich color. Here in Northern WI, I wasn't able to find Praline Pecan Liqueur, but while I was visiting my daughter in Athens GA, we stopped at 5 Points Bottle Shop. We needed to pick up a bottle of dark beer for the beer bread we were going to make. I looked around and sure enough, there it was, sitting on the shelf! Knowing I had to bring it home on the airplane, I only bought one bottle. Big mistake on my part! I originally wanted to try this Liqueur in my recipe for Overnight French Toast, which I plan on making over the 4th of July weekend but today I decided to dust off the bottle and add some to a boxed Brownie mix. Oh, I am so glad I did:) On the back of the bottle of Praline Pecan Liqueur it says to; "close your eyes and listen for the tuneful cry of the praline lady," "Praw-LEENS, frais praw-LEENS!" One bite of these brownies and you'll hear her calling:) Get the Spirit of the French Quarter with a Bottle of Praline Pecan Liqueur~ Sazerac

Preheat oven to 325. Lightly grease bottom of 11 x 7 glass baking dish.

Place oil, egg and liqueur in a medium bowl and stir until fully mixed. Add brownie mix and chopped pecans. Stir until blended. Spread into prepared pan. Bake at 325 for 24-28 minutes. I like my brownies slightly under baked.

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting or

1 container chocolate fudge frosting

2 T Praline Pecan Liqueur

Add Praline Pecan Liqueur to frosting, stir. Frost brownies:)
