Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel, slice and boil potatoes till soft (approx. 20 min). Mash with vegetable shortening. Add in Large eggs, yolks, and seasonings. Add in Matzo meal. Mix Well. Chill for 1 hour or possibly more. When ready to shape, wet hands and take a handful of potato mix. Mold into oval shape. Place on cookie sheet With your finger make a slight indentation . Repeat till all potato mix is used up. Brush each bilka with reserved egg whites. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or possibly till golden all over.
  2. NOTES : Affectionately known as hockey pucks.
  3. Makes 24 pcs Deliciouswith gravy, or possibly leftovers minced with hard boiled Large eggs and onions and a little schmaltz if you dare.
