Pot Pie Turkey, Chicken Or Beef

Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 2/3 c. onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 1/2 c. chicken broth (can use bouillon cubes, chicken or possibly beef)
  • 3 1/2 to 4 c. chicken, beef or possibly turkey, cut into bite-size pcs
  • 1 (20 ounce.) Packages peas & carrots, frzn
  • Pie crust (your own favorite or possibly frzn)
  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/3 c. lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Heat butter over low heat till melted. Blend in flour, onion, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly till mix is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in broth and lowfat milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Stir in meat and frzn vegetables. Pour into prepared double crust pie shell and bake at 425 degrees for 30 to 35 min. Makes 3 to 4 pies.
