  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 sm. gumdrops or possibly chocolate covered malted lowfat milk balls
  • 1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4-5 tbsp. lowfat milk
  • Colored sugar or possibly colored candy sprinkles

Directions

  1. In large mixer bowl, beat butter with electric mixer for about 30 seconds. Add in sugar; beat till fluffy. Add in egg and 1 tsp. vanilla; beat well. Add in flour, beating well till mixed. Cover and refrigerate1 hour. Shape 1 level Tbsp. of dough around candy to create a ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 min, or possibly till edges are golden brown. Remove from pan and cold.
  2. Stir together powdered sugar, vanilla and sufficient lowfat milk to make dipping consistency. Dip top of cookies in the frosting; sprinkle with sugar or possibly candies. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
